A Nepali cotton tote bag carrying something no factory can replicate — hand-embroidery made by Tamang women of Rasuwa District, Nepal, finished with handmade tassels. Every piece is completely its own. Proudly made in Nepal.
Rasuwa-6 Tote Bag — A Bag That Carries More Than Your Belongings
There is a difference between a bag that is made and a bag that is crafted. The Rasuwa-6 is firmly the second.
This Nepali cotton tote bag features a hand-embroidered panel made by Tamang women from the Rasuwa District of Nepal — one of Nepal’s most culturally rich indigenous communities, known for their bold, geometric cross-stitch embroidery traditions passed down through generations. The embroidery on this bag did not come from a machine or a pattern book. It came from skilled hands, a living craft tradition, and the quiet pride of a community that has been making things of beauty long before the world started calling it ethical fashion.
Finished with handmade tassels, the Rasuwa-6 carries that same artisanal spirit all the way to its final detail.
A Piece That Cannot Be Copied
Every Rasuwa-6 tote bag is genuinely one of a kind. The Tamang embroidery tradition produces slight natural variations in every piece — different thread tension, slightly different spacing, the individual signature of the hand that made it. What might look like an imperfection in a mass-produced world is, here, the proof of authenticity. Small deviations from the product photograph are not flaws. They are the mark of a human being who made something real.
You will not find this bag in a high street chain. You cannot order it from a warehouse. It exists because a woman in Rasuwa District sat down and made it, one stitch at a time.
Built for Everyday Life
The base fabric is high-quality Nepali cotton — breathable, durable, and strong enough for the full weight of daily use. Whether you are carrying a laptop, a day’s groceries, books, or the general accumulation of a life lived on the move, the Rasuwa-6 handles it without complaint. The spacious main compartment gives you room to carry what you actually need, and the bag holds its shape over time rather than sagging into formlessness after a few months of use.

On the Name: Rasuwa-6
Rasuwa is a mountain district in northern-central Nepal, bordering Tibet. It is home to Langtang National Park, glacial rivers, ancient trade routes — and the Tamang women whose hands made the embroidery on this bag. The name honours where it comes from. That is something worth carrying.
Each piece is unique and handmade. Small variations from the photograph are a feature, not a flaw. Proudly made in Nepal.
